Allianz Operating in Over 70 Countries

Allianz is a global company operating in over 70 countries. The company has approximately 180,000 employees worldwide. The parent company, Allianz SE, headquartered in Munich, Germany.

Allianz has more than 76 million customers worldwide and offers a variety of services including life insurance, property insurance, accident insurance, and asset management. Here is a subsidiary of Allianz in some countries:

1. United States

Allianz's presence in the United States are represented by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and Fireman's Fund. Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America in the list of 100 best places to work by Fortune Magazine. Investment arm Allianz, Allianz Global Investors (AGI), in charge of the two companies, Pacific Investment Management Company, commonly called PIMCO, which focuses on fixed income investments, and RCM Capital Management and NFJ, which focuses on investing in stocks.

2. Australia

Has its roots in 1914, Allianz Australia Insurance Limited operates throughout Australia and New Zealand. Through various subsidiaries, Allianz offers a range of insurance products and services as well as risk management. Subsidiaries include Club Marine Allianz Australia, Allianz Life and Hunter Premium Funding. In 2012, Allianz Australia announced an agreement with the SCG Trust to rename the Sydney Football Stadium into Allianz Stadium.

4. Bulgaria

Allianz Bank Bulgaria is a commercial bank headquartered in Sofia, was founded in 1997 and formerly named Bulgaria Invest Commercial Bank. On October 13, 2003, the bank's name was changed to Allianz Bank Bulgaria after Allianz Bulgaria Holding became the main shareholder. Allianz Bank Bulgaria offers its products in more than one hundred branches and offices throughout Bulgaria, as well as through an extensive agency network.

5. India

In India, Allianz primarily operates through Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited, which is a joint venture between Allianz and Bajaj Finserv Limited. Bajaj Allianz has around 1,200 branches across India and offers a range of services including unit-linked insurance, traditional insurance, health insurance, child insurance and pension funds.

6. Indonesia

Allianz started its operations in Indonesia by opening a representative office in 1981. In 1989, Allianz established PT Asuransi Allianz Utama Indonesia, a general insurance company. In addition, Allianz entered the Indonesian life insurance market with the opening of PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia in 1996.

7. English

Allianz acquired the British insurer, Cornhill Insurance plc in 1986, later renamed Allianz Cornhill Insurance plc. The name later was changed to Allianz Insurance plc in April 2007. Allianz also has a large insurance brokerage firm Home and Legacy, which was purchased in 2006.

8. Italy

Allianz Group in Italy fronted Allianz SpA, ranks second in terms of premiums and the fifth in terms of assets under management. Allianz SpA is the result of the merger of three insurance companies: Ras, was founded in 1838 in Trieste and is based in Milan (part of the Allianz Group since 1987); Lloyd Adriatico, was founded in 1836 and based in Trieste (part of the Allianz Group since 1995); and Allianz SUBALPINA, founded in 1928 and is based in Turin (formerly a subsidiary of Ras).

9. Germany

In Germany, Allianz offers a variety of insurance products such as general insurance, life insurance and health insurance products through its subsidiary Allianz Deutschland AG. Allianz became the market leader in both the general and life insurance markets. Allianz products are distributed primarily through a network of agents. Since September 2010, Allianz products are also sold through a branch of Commerzbank.

Allianz entered the Canadian market in the early 1990s through the acquisition of two insurance companies of North America, namely the American Firemans Funds and the Canadian Surety. 12. Pakistan

In Slovakia, Allianz started its life insurance business and Property & Casualty (P & C) in 1993. In 2001, Allianz AG bought a majority ownership in Slovenska poisťovňa (SP, Slovak Insurance Company). After the purchase, SP gain market share around 50%
